Floyd Mayweather’s Trademark for B*tchologist Approved

Floyd Mayweather’s Trademarks for B*tchologist and P*ssologist Both Approved by U.S. Patent & Trademark Office

Floyd Mayweather’s company, Mayweather Promotions, received approvals from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for two trademarks: BITCHOLOGIST and PUSSOLOGIST. At first I thought these trademarks might have been filed by edgy obstetricians or gynecologists, or perhaps just a general medical practitioner who specialized in helping people that were really cranky. Would a Pussologist be able to help me with my fear of roller coasters? I had to investigate further.

Both trademarks applications were filed by Mayweather Promotions on July 20, 2016. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office published the trademarks in the Trademark Official Gazette on November 15, 2016. In case some of you don’t believe me, I thought I better include copies of the publications themselves.  Here is a copy of the publication of BITCHOLOGIST:

Neither of these trademarks appear to relate to the medical profession.  The “ologist” kept pulling me towards some type of medical professional, but those were all dead ends.

In an interview with Howard Stern on September 25, 2013, Floyd Mayweather mentioned the terms BITCHOLOGIST and PUSSOLOGIST.  Stern and Mayweather were discussing Mayweather’s relationship with women, etc., which is when Mayweather stated, “I call myself the pussologist. From the trademark applications, it appears that Mayweather intends to sell types of clothing using the trademarks BITCHOLOGIST and PUSSOLOGIST.  A full description of the goods can be found below (but if you are not an intellectual property attorney you are not allowed to look down there). If any of you have a loved one with a birthday coming up soon, you may want to consider BITCHOLOGIST leotards, or perhaps PUSSOLOGIST booties.

Approvals for both BITCHOLOGIST and PUSSOLOGIST were sent out by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in the form of Notices of Allowance, both of which were sent on January 10, 2017. The final step before these trademark applications will become registered is the statement of use. After Mayweather can show it is using both of these trademarks, they should proceed to registration.
